If you are not allergic to nuts, they are a simple food send by Gods - easy to store, crunchy, tasty which can be eaten as whole or used for garnish (on desserts/rice/curries) or in curry paste to lend a creamy taste and aroma.
So, What makes them the power bowl?
Each nut is different to platte and are low in sodium; some of the common nuts are -
- Almonds: protein, calcium and vitamin E
- Cashews: iron and a low GI rating
- Pistachios: protein, potassium, antioxidant resveratrol
- Walnuts: omega 3 and antioxidants
